Ahoy-hoy friends!

My newest book from Top Shelf Productions, Look Back and Laugh, will be in comic shops tomorrow, August 8th 2018!  This 416 page tome collects all 366 journal comics (it was a leap year, y’all) from 2016, previously only available to my Patreon subscribers.  You can see the monthly printed versions alongside this single volume edition:

Personally, my favorite part of this ongoing daily comics project has been designing the mini comic versions for my print subscribers each month, which are, sadly, NOT reproduced in color for collection.  But if you like what you see, you can sign up for my Patreon TODAY to ensure that you never miss another slick issue!

If you want to catch me in person with this new book, I’ll be at SPX in September, Short Run in November, and CALA in December!

Look Back and Laugh

Wednesday, April 11th, 2018

Hi Friends!

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve posted on this here website o’ mine and I apologize for the lapse of communication.  I’m back to tell you that I have a new book coming out in July!  It’s called Look Back and Laugh, and it is a collection of my 2016 journal comics, which were originally serialized on Patreon.  The Top Shelf edition of this book will contain all 366 (it was a leap year!) daily comics for the 2016 calendar year, along with black and white reproductions of the covers to the exclusive monthly books that were sent to my Patreon subscribers.  If you weren’t following along back when these strips were being made, you can join the party now, by preordering a copy at your favorite local comic or book shop!

And while you’re at it, take a gander at my Patreon, where I am still drawing these daily comics!  You can see all the intimate details of my life AS THEY HAPPEN if you subscribe today!  Don’t wait another 2 years to get all the juicy Liz Prince related gossip, when you can be in the know NOW!

Thanks for reading!

New book available for pre-order!

Friday, October 13th, 2017

My friends at Silver Sprocket Bicycle Club have published a collection of my comics from the website If You Make It and the punk magazine Razorcake, and it is now available to be pre-ordered at your local comic shop through Diamond!  If you would like a copy of the book, please go to your favorite comic shop before the end of October and ask them to order one for you (and perhaps suggest that they should have some for the shelves, as well?)!

Here’s all the info you’ll need:

Soft-cover, full-color cover, 64 pages b&w; 7″ x 9″; 7oz
$10; SILVER #070

ISBN: 978-1-945509-06-3
Diamond: STL065606

Some of you might be thinking “Hey, what gives?  I’ve got this book already! It’s not “NEW”!”, and you wouldn’t be wrong, but you also wouldn’t be right.  BYOBB came out in April, but the distribution through traditional comic shop channels was delayed: now it will be available in comic shops, and it will also have a BRAND NEW COVER!  I can’t show you that cover yet, but here is the current cover that you may recognize:

If you don’t want to wait until December, when the book will be available in comic shops, you can order a copy with this cover directly from Silver Sprocket at this LINK!  All orders come with a cool Liz Bat sticker!

Anyway, the point is, grab this book before it grabs you!

Atomic Books and SPX 2017!

Monday, September 11th, 2017

Ahoy-hoy friends!  I’ll be traveling to the Baltimore/DC area this week for a couple of comic book related events!

First up, I will be at Atomic Books in Baltimore’s Hampden neighborhood on Wednesday, September 13th, for a reading with the ever-fanciful Nicole J. Georges!  It’s going to be an evening of cats vs. dogs, so come on out and hear about our favorite pets!  The reading begins at 7pm and will be followed by an awkward, standing around book signing.

Then I will be tabling at the Small Press Expo at the Bethesda North Marriott hotel in, you guessed it, Bethesda MD!  Stop by table E-14a on Saturday the 16th to see Nicole and I with our new books and our old books and some other goodies; then on Sunday the 17th I will be joined by my dear friend (Jim) Kettner with his debut graphic novel INK IN WATER!  Table E14a is your destination for top-of-the-line autobio comics, so please stop by and see us!

Dearest friends!

Today is the day that issue #4 of Coady and The Creepies is released into the wild!  It’s the end of this mini-series, but certainly not the end of the story: would you like to see more adventures with Coady, Corey, and Criss?  I would sure like to write them!  But we need to prove that enough of you out there want to read them.

I know that a lot of folks are waiting until the collected trade paperback of this series comes out to dive in, but by that time, our fate will be sealed!  If you’ve been waiting for all of the issues of the mini-series to be out so you can read them all at once, please go out to your local comic shop and by them NOW, instead of waiting until October!  If your local shop doesn’t have them, they can most likely special order them for you, and if they can’t special order them, you can get them yourself by ordering them directly from BOOM! Studios!

Don’t let the Creepies die (even though one of them is already dead)!  Run out and read all about their quest to complete pinmageddon TODAY!

Patreon 2017

Howdy comic friends!

I had a few blips in my Patreon campaign for this year: I was trying to use it to write a longer story about my relationship with my dad, and while I am still very much invested in continuing to write and publish that story, a monthly comic subscription is not the correct place for me to do it.  So, I’m switching back over to my daily comic strips and monthly self-published book routine!  If you’ve been wanting to sign up, now is a great time!  On July 1st subscribers will be charged for the June comics/books, so you have until the end of the month to get on my mailing list and receive a new, exclusive comic in your mailbox every month.

Here is what some of the books from last year looked like:

This year’s books will be the same format, so if you were subscribed last year, your collection will continue to grow!  If you want to start now, get on board! Previous month’s comics are available for purchase when you sign up for a print subscription, so you can even start now and catch ’em all!

I’m also going to try to post one strip per week for free here on my website, so keep your eyes peeled for that as well!

Coady and the Creepies!

Wednesday, March 15th, 2017

Hey friends!

My new comic series, Coady and the Creepies, comes out in stores today from Boom!box!  This is a new experience for me, creating characters and a story for a monthly comic series that I’m not drawing, but dang-sarnit, I’m so dingdong stoked on how it came out!  I was able to work with an artist who I’ve been a fan of for a long time, who I also happen to be friends with, the wonderful (Nation of) Amanda Kirk!  Her illustration, combined with Hannah Fisher‘s colors just make this book so awesome to look at!  I know I’m biased, but here are the first few pages of the story so you can see that I’m not blowin’ smoke:

I hate to say I told you so, but…

And if that wasn’t enough, my Maine Squeeze Danny Bailey, of Jabber, wrote and recorded an anthem for the Creepies!

Please seek this book out at your local comic shop, and if you happen to live in Portland, Maine, stop by Coast City Comics 3/15: I’ll be signing books and giving out cool exclusive buttons and patches!

Stay Creepie!
